Our Team

REBLE (Researchers Enabled by Lived Experience) began in February 2021 as an in-house lived experience panel for the social-purpose consultancy Traverse, who, through research, evaluation, engagement, and consultation services, provide evidence, insight, and strategic advice to support more inclusive decision making.

In the latter half of 2022 Traverse began restructuring, and REBLE decided to reform as an organisation of it’s own, providing these services with the value of lived experience directly delivered. We  now consist of ten individuals from marginalised communities with a diverse set of skills, as well as 4 previous employees from Traverse, who bring a high level of expertise in project management, qualitative research and inclusive process oriented facilitation.

My lived experience comes by virtue of being Autistic. I am also of Somali origin, and this has influence on all my work. This is because my experience in society has been one of economic, political and social marginalisation. I am a member of the REBLE Researchers and have worked on various different projects with them.

Previously an accountant, I now work as a HCA while pursuing nursing, and in my freetime I volunteer with numerous charities using my experiences in social care, with autism, and multiple complex, chronic mental health issues. I am very passionate about autism, eating disorders, and sexual abuse support, and also write a blog with my own illustrations.
